Running to Catch the Last January Bus!

Bism Illah wa as salaamu alaykum wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatuh.

A thousand apologies! I have not, in any way, managed to get my act together and develop all the deep-as-the-ocean thoughts I've been having over these past months. In fact, I have this epic post about shaytaan's sneaky plans which I've added to here and there, but still cannot wrap it up and present it to you all. Perhaps a big dua' is in order for me to really put things together and make a decent contribution in February...which is just a matter of hours away.

Anyway, what I read this past couple of months was notable in that it is a subject we don't think about too much. It also was a verification of several points I've firmly believed, advocated for, and adhered to over the years. The book is called, "Waswasah, The Whispering of the Shaitan." and it is excellent preparation for my upcoming post, bi ithn Illah ta'ala, on shaytaan's sneaky plans.  If you scroll down to the bottom of this page you will find the book available for download.

If your really in a reading mood, I highly recommend the book Patience and Gratitude on that same page. I'm working my way through all the books and, as always, benefiting immensely, mashaa'Allah.

Goodbye January...and to all who have asked me why I haven't updated this blog, sorry for the no-show!

  1. As Salamualaikum mai! Glad to see you're okay alhumdulilah.

If you haven't already read this book, another GREAT read about shaytaans tricks is "The Illness and the cure" by Ibnul Qayyim al-Jawziyyah. Mashaallah it's EXCELLENT at explaining the ways shaytaan gets us to do evil acts, and what ways to prevent it. I'm not sure where You can get it on pdf, but if i find a link i'll send it your way inshaallah!!

    xoxo

Yes, yes, yes! I know that title, but I surely haven't read it recently. Please do send the link if you find it online.

There is another book that was very effective on this subject, The Methods of Shaytaan in Leading People Astray. Here is a link to it:

  3. aslaam alaikum,

I just saw a blog I thought you would like, "WideEarth.us" about sustainable living, organic, etc. from a sister who was in Yemen many years. Very interesting life, mashaaAllah.

Please keep posting - we miss you!

  4. Wa alaykum as salaam wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatuh Umm Tareq!

You cannot imagine how your comment has impacted our lives, mashaa'Allah Allahumma baarik! We have finally found people with like interests and goals at Wide Earth. What is even more uncanny, is that we registered our land/farm with the name Healing Earth LLC...even the names harmonize, mashaa'Allah. There are no coincidences, just Allah's incredible plan and our wonder at it! Jazaaki Allahu khayr for thinking of me, introducing me to the blog, and missing me!

    Much love to you always,

    Mai

  6. Wa alaykum as salaam wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatuh sister Naila.

Jazaaki Allahu khayr for your kind words. Yes, my husband did have a long and detailed list of things to consider and questions to ask a prospective spouse on his blog. However, he shut down his blog so I've asked him if he saved it anywhere. Inshaa'Allah, he will check to see if he still has it and if so, I will post it here on my blog.

Wa iyaaki wa barak Allahu feeki.
